Rancho La Loma:

A Historic Legacy

RANCHO LA LOMA

HONORING HERITAGE. SHAPING FUTURES.

For generations, Rancho La Loma has held a meaningful place in the story of Litchfield Park, rooted in care and stewardship.

Entrusted to Sun Health from the Litchfield family, with a promise to serve the West Valley in perpetuity, Rancho La Loma continues to evolve with intention and long-term responsibility.

Through this Legacy Hub, we honor the past, recognize enduring impact, and carry the legacy forward together.

a legacy rooted in litchfield park

Rancho La Loma’s story is inseparable from the history of Litchfield Park.

The land was entrusted to Sun Health by Edith Litchfield Denny and her husband Wally Denny, daughter and son-in-law of Paul Litchfield, with one defining condition: it would never be sold but preserved for the benefit of the West Valley.

From its earliest days, this land symbolized thoughtful stewardship and continuity across generations.

Honoring that history ensures the values that shaped Litchfield Park remain respected today.

STEWARDSHIP IN ACTION

Stewardship is not a single moment; it is an ongoing commitment.

For more than six decades, Sun Health has approached Rancho La Loma with responsibility to people and place, guided by partnership and community well-being.

It reflects the belief that legacy must be actively protected and intentionally advanced.

COMMUNITY IMPACT

The legacy of Rancho La Loma is measured in lives touched. Across generations, Sun Health programs and partnerships have strengthened quality of life throughout the West Valley. This includes the impactful work already happening, through ventures like La Loma Village and the Medical Office Building.

This impact includes:

•  Expanding access to medical and wellness resources
•  Supporting community initiatives
•  Investing in partnerships that strengthen local culture
• Encouraging connection across generations

Each effort contributes to a broader story of service and shared purpose.

SHARED LEGACY

Rancho La Loma’s legacy belongs to the community.

Leaders, partners, residents, and champions have all shaped its story. Their voices reflect pride, gratitude, and a shared commitment to preserving what matters most.

Legacy is not owned by one organization.

It is carried by many.
